MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways is set to conduct road reblocking and repairs, and asphalt overlay in various roads in Metro Manila starting this Saturday night.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), road reblocking and repairs will begin at 11 p.m. from October 28 until 5 a.m. of October 30.
The roads that will undergo repairs this weekend are as follows:
Quezon City
- Along Mindanao Avenue Tunnel NB
- A. Bonifacio Avenue northbound (NB) corner Sgt. Rivera St., first lane from sidewalk
- After C-5 Road southbound (SB) and Ayala heights intersection
- C-5 Road (SB) after Magsaysay Avenue
- C-5 Road (SB) after Magsaysay Avenue near U-turn Slot
- Commonwealth Avenue (SB) fronting Hyundai Motors to fronting RCBC, fourth lane from sidewalk
Pasay City
- EDSA Taft Ave., to MRT Station 4th lane
- EDSA (SB) after Malibay Bridge (Outer lane)
- Pasig City
- C-5 Road SB
- C-5 Road along Lanuza Avenue (S-2 M Out) and Casa Verde Townhomes
Makati City
- C-5 to Korean Embassy (SB) third lane
San Juan City
- EDSA Annapolis (SB) to Connecticut (Outer lane)
Manila City
- Taft Ave corner Pedro Gil Street
Caloocan City
- C-3 Road eastbound (EB) between Rizal Avenue to M.H Del Pilar Street. (third lane from sidewalk)
- Rizal Ave. Exit. (NB) between Bustamante Street. and Monumento Circle (third lane)
- EDSA (NB) between Don Vicente Ang to Gen. Evangelista
The authority said that the affected roads will be fully passable by early Monday morning.
Meanwhile, MMDA also said asphalt overlay activities from 11 p.m. this Saturday to 5 a.m. on Sunday will be conducted in the following roads:
- Along EDSA NB infront of QC2DEO/ DPWH Region IV-B (Bus way)
- Along EDSA NB infront of Centris (Bus way)
- Along EDSA NB infront of Landmark (Bus way)
“Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience,” MMDA said in its traffic advisory.
