MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers will prevail over the rest of the country on Thursday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

These weather conditions will be brought on by the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, and localized thunderstorms, the state weather agency added.

Cloud clusters caused by the wind convergence were spotted on the eastern portion of Mindanao, while the cloud clusters outside of the Philippine area of responsibility spotted on Wednesday [PAR] remain unlikely to develop into a typhoon within the next few hours.

The shear line, or the convergence of warm and cool winds, is also no longer affecting the country, he added.
