MANILA, Philippines – Some 500 members of a militant labor group will hold a protest rally from Monday afternoon until Labor Day (Tuesday) to urge the government to put a stop to demolitions and contractualization.

Members of the Partido ng Manggagawa (PM) will start marching at 5:00 p.m. this Monday from Baclaran church in   Paranaque City to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) office in Intramuros, Manila to  hold a picket there,  a Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said,  quoting  Judy Ann Miranda, secretary-general of  the  group.

The protesters will then proceed to Welcome, Rotonda  in Quezon City  at 7:00 p.m. to hold a noise barrage. They will spend the night at the Holy Trinity Church in Balic-Balic, Sampaloc, Manila, the report added.
