800,000 personnel from 5 gov’t agencies to be deployed for 2023 BSKE
MANILA, Philippines — Over 800,000 personnel from different agencies will be deployed for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on October 30.
A multi-agency send-off and turnover of personnel and resources ceremony for the 2023 BSKE was held on Monday at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
The agencies in the ceremony are the Department of Education (DepEd), Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Commission on Elections (Comelec).

According to the AFP on Tuesday, 117,585 personnel that will be deployed for the BSKE will come from them, while 494,662 will come from DepEd, 187,000 from PNP, and 30,300 from PCG.
In a Facebook post, the PNP, which hosted the ceremony, said that it is a convergence and collective dedication of the nation towards a secure and transparent election.
“As the country approaches the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, this Multi-Agency Send-Off and Turnover Ceremony stands as a symbol of the nation’s collective dedication to ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and democratic electoral process,” the PNP said.
