Sorry, Palace has no plans of declaring Oct. 31 a holiday – Garafil
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has no plans to declare October 31, 2023 (Tuesday) a holiday.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil said this in a message to reporters on Tuesday.
She said the Office of the Executive Secretary does not intend to declare a holiday on this date.
In 2022, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had declared October 31 a special, non-working holiday.
Last year, October 31 fell on a Monday, creating a long weekend.

She had also said it was meant to promote local tourism.
