MANILA, Philippines — Another suspect involved in the death of 4th-year criminology student Ahldryn Bravante has surrendered to authorities, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said on Thursday.
The QCPD identified the suspect as John Arvin Kaylle Diocena, who turned himself in to its office this afternoon.
“Isa pang suspek na nakilalang si John Arvin Kaylle Regualos Diocena na may kinalaman sa Hazing Incident na ikinamatay ng biktima na si Ahldryn Leary Chua Bravante ay sumuko ngayon sa tanggapan ng QCPD,” the police said in a Viber message to reporters.

Also on Thursday, QCPD said it identified 12 more individuals involved in Bravante’s death. Of these individuals, 18-year-old John Xavier Arcosa surrendered to authorities on Wednesday, bringing the number of suspects in police custody to five.
A case for violating the Anti-Hazing Law was likewise filed against 16 members of the Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity-Philippine College of Criminology Chapter for the death of Bravente.
