MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) warned the public that any activities related to the scanning of the PhilID, the ePhilID, or other data collection and verification, are unauthorized.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the PSA told people that their respective PhilIDs, ePhilIDs, as well as their personal information should not be submitted to individuals or entities that claim to be authorized by the PSA.

“The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) wishes to inform the public that we are not conducting any activity related to scanning the PhilID cards or the ePhilID, or any form of data collection or verification through unauthorized means,” it said.
