LUCENA CITY — Police arrested an alleged member of a drug group and seized more than P115,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Tiaong town on Saturday night.
Quezon police said in a report released Sunday, October 15, that anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed one alias “Balot,” 47, after he sold P15,000 worth shabu to a police agent in a transaction inside a subdivision in Barangay (village) Talisay around 8 p.m.
The suspect was caught in possession of five plastic sachets of meth worth P115,260 in the street market.
Police tagged “Balot” as a member of “Morales drug group” and a “high-value” target in the government’s drug war.
The report did not specify the syndicate’s area of operation.
The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.
The suspect was detained at the local police jail and is facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
