3 suspects yield shabu, gun in Rizal drug busts
LUCENA CITY – Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday three suspected drug traders and seized more than P170,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in separate buy-bust operations in Rizal province.
The Region 4A police reported that anti-narcotics agents in Antipolo City held at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday one alias “Alejandro” after he sold P500 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Mambugan.
The suspect, a “high-value” target in the government’s drug war, had five sachets of shabu weighing 23 grams worth about P156,400 in the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.
At 10:08 p.m. on Tuesday, police drug enforcers in San Mateo town busted two alleged pushers identified by their aliases as “Ernie” and “Jeff” during a drug transaction in a vacant lot in Barangay Silangan.
The suspects, tagged as street-level drug pushers, yielded five sachets of meth with a street value of P14,960 and an undocumented .38-caliber revolver with two bullets.
Article continues after this advertisementThe police officers also seized two mobile phones from the suspects, which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations for records of drug transactions.

“Ernie” and “Jeff” will also be slapped with charges for violating the gun laws and election code.
