2 teenagers nabbed in Batangas marijuana buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – Two alleged armed drug pushers were arrested Monday in separate buy-bust operations in Lipa City, Batangas, police said Tuesday, Oct. 10.

One alias “Awo,” 26, was found carrying an undocumented caliber .9mm pistol with four bullets after being caught at 11:05 p.m. selling shabu to a police agent in Barangay Pangao, the Batangas police said.

Authorities seized seven sachets of meth from the suspect.

Earlier, the same police team also busted an alias “Bagaso,” 49, in another sting operation at 8:10 p.m. in Barangay Lodlod.

The cops found the suspect, a tricycle driver, in possession of four sachets of meth and a loaded .38 revolver, which had no government documents.

The volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs in the two operations were not specified in the report.

The suspects, both city residents, were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, illegal possession of a firearm, and violation of election code.
