Punlaan School, one of the first technical schools in the country to specialize in hospitality, housekeeping services and culinary arts, inaugurated on Oct. 6 its new building on M. Paterno Street, San Juan City.

With the new building, Punlaan can now accommodate a total of 700 students (from a previous capacity of 150), and provide a better space for learning under a holistic curriculum that focuses on community engagement while using state-of-the-art facilities.

With a track record of nearly 50 years and through the support of generous donors, it has provided opportunities for thousands of underprivileged young women from Metro Manila and neighboring provinces through full scholarship programs.

Punlaan students are guaranteed jobs after graduation in hotels and restaurants in the Philippines or abroad, or on luxury cruise liners.
