Marcos: 770 Antique families to have new homes by Christmas
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that several residents of Antique who were affected by Tropical Storm Paeng in 2022 can move into their new houses by December.
“So, to know that we have 770 families who will spend this Christmas in their new home is one of the best news that I have heard in a long time,” Marcos Jr. announced on Friday.
The houses are part of a project of the National Housing Authority.
Apart from the announcement, Marcos Jr. also led the distribution of 1,000 sacks of smuggled premium rice in the province, which was part of the 42,180 sacks confiscated by the Bureau of Customs in September.
Marcos Jr. also said that his administration will continue to address rice hoarding and smuggling issues.
