Marcos tells DPWH to prioritize repair of Antique bridge damaged by Paeng
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. told the Department of Public Works and Highways in Western Visayas to repair the Paliwan Bridge in Antique.
The bridge was damaged by Tropical Storm Paeng in 2022.
(I have mentioned this to you in 2022, but I repeat that the rehabilitation of Paliwan Bridge should be made a priority. I am ordering the Public Works of Region VI to give attention to this for the speedy action of this program.)
Marcos Jr. also led a rice distribution event in Antique on Friday.
The Chief Executive also warned entities behind the increasing prices of rice that the government will not tolerate their actions, adding that the administration is working with Congress to impose heavier punishments against these entities.
