Manila suspends classes due to yellow rainfall warning
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government suspended classes at all levels in both public and private schools on Friday, October 6, due to the yellow rainfall warning.
According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), all face-to-face and online classes in Manila were suspended “[a]s recommended by the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.”
Manila City spokesperson Princess Abante confirmed this announcement in a message to INQUIRER.net.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised a yellow rainfall warning in the National Capital Region early Friday.
Pagasa said heavy rainfall and possible flooding in low-lying areas may occur under this category.
