The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has advised consumers who may have bought Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk not to consume the product, because some of them were found to have curdled.

In an advisory dated Oct. 2, the FDA identified the product batch as those with an expiry date of April 16, 2024.

Alaska Milk initiated to pull its product with batch code “16APRL2024 P1” from store shelves after the company received complaints of coagulation, or curdling, of the evaporated milk from the said batch.

“Results of investigation by [Alaska] show that the coagulation was caused by compromised packaging integrity of the cans,” the company said.
