DBM warns public against an alleged Pangandaman copycat

MANILA, Philippines — A person or a group has been reportedly posing as Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman on the email.

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on Thursday cautioned the people on this alleged hoax.

“This is to warn the public against transacting with individuals and groups posing as Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, using the email: amenahfpangandaman@gmail.com or any other email,” said DBM in a statement.

The department said Pangandaman will never use an email address that is not secure and unverified.

“We have alerted, and are seriously coordinating with pertinent authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into illegal activities,” said DBM.

“We shall exert all efforts, within the fullest extent of the law, to identify, apprehend, and file the appropriate charges against these deceitful individuals and groups,” it added.
