PNP probes shooting of chairwoman in Samar
ORMOC CITY — Policemen are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators and establish the motive in the shooting of a village chairwoman in Barangay Obrero, Calbayog City, Samar on Monday, October 2.
Susan Sumulong, 50, chairwoman of Barangay Calocnayan, Seven Hills, Calbayog City was on board a tricycle heading when an assailant fired at her.
The victim was hit in the back of her shoulder and was immediately brought to a local hospital by the pedicab driver for immediate treatment.

Witnesses told policemen that the perpetrator fled away to an unknown direction on board a motorcycle.
