Heads of all 3 gov’t branches’ approval ratings fall – Pulse Asia survey

Pulse Asia: 89% of Filipinos believe gov’t should back manufacturing sector

MANILA, Philippines — The approval ratings of the heads of the three main branches of government fell in the last three months.

This is based on a new survey of Pulse Asia released on Monday.

In the executive branch, the approval rating of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. fell from 80 in June to 65 as of September.

Vice president Sara Duterte’s approval rating also decreased by 11 points, going from 84 to 73 within the same period.

Approval ratings for both heads of the legislative branch also went down.

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri’s trust rating declined from 56 in June to 50 in September.

The approval rating of House Speaker Martin Romualdez also slid from 52 to 41.

For the judiciary, the approval rating of Supreme Court Justice Alexander Gesmundo decreased by 10 points, going from 44 to 34.

The survey was conducted from September 10 to 14, 2023.

It has a 2.8 percent margin of error.
