THREE years after he was released from jail, a former inmate found himself behind bars again after he was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.
Roderic P. Fuentes, 42, allegedly sold a small pack of shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer last Thursday afternoon.
Police said the drug sale happened inside the man’s two-story house in Rizal Street.
Police found a large pack of suspected shabu on top of a table in the living room while two medium packs and one small pack and P1,630 cash were seized from Fuentes’ possession.
Police said Fuentes did not resist arrest. He is detained at the Waterfront police precinct.
Senior Insp. Henrix Bancoleta, team leader of the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, said a background check revealed that Fuentes was detained at the Mandaue City Jail last 2007 for illegal drug charges but the case was dismissed.
Police said Fuentes got his supply of shabu in barangays Pasil and Villagonzalo in Cebu City.
Charges are set to be filed against Fuentes next week, said police./REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
