Fire razes 2 apartments in barangay Punta Princesa
AT least P300,000 worth of properties went up in smoke when a four-minute fire gutted two apartments and grocery stores on F. Llamas St. in barangay Punta Princesa yesterday afternoon.
One Rey Cosido sustained second-degree burns in his right hand.
The fire started at a room occupied by one Jemini Mojares who is into food business.
Cosido, Mojares’ employee, said he was cooking when the lightbulb from the ceiling of the kitchen fell into the big pan.
The bulb exploded in the boiling oil and the fire quickly spread to the wood he used in cooking.
This caused the fire to break out and gutted the two apartments owned by Lucrecia Miramonte and Rodolfo Saavendra and nearby grocery stores.
