800 people flee fire in Valenzuela City

Around 800 residents of Barangay Bagbaguin in Valenzuela City were forced to evacuate on Friday after a fire destroyed a warehouse close to their residences. According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire started at the warehouse of Herco Trading, a hardware distribution company located on G. Molina Street in Barangay Bagbaguin, at 12:31 p.m. on Thursday. Authorities have yet to assess the damage caused by the fire. No fatalities were reported, but six people, including five responders, sustained injuries. —Abby Boiser
