IN the duel between top-seeded teams, Green overpowered White, 79-63, Thursday night for a 7-2 win-loss record and reclaim the solo lead in the Customs Sportsfest-2012 dubbed as 3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-Biggest Loser basketball tournament at the Basak San Nicolas gym.
Green had single-digit leads in the first two periods before unloading a 13-point advantage, 55-42 at the end of the third and increased that to 16 at the buzzer.
Jingjing Rama led Green with 32 points spiked by seven trifectas while Boodie Monteño paced White with 17 markers.
White dropped to 6-3.
In the other game, Blue upset Red, 65-53 to improve to 2-7 while the latter fell to 3-6.
Blue Team had a sluggish start resulting in a, 12-16 deficit but rallied back in the 2nd and 3rd periods to erect double-digit leads.
Tata Laborte and Ronnie Silvestre led Blue with 20 and 12 points, respectively, while Jojo Quiño paced Red with 11 points.
