MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said on Thursday that 74,089 public utility vehicle (PUV) units have been given fuel subsidies as of September 27.
The LTFRB also said it has recorded 121,979 operators as qualified beneficiaries in the program. These operators have received more than 480 million, which will be distributed by the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP).
“Sa kabuuan, nasa P795,187,500 ang halaga ng na-disburse o naipamahagi ng LTFRB sa LBP upang ipamigay sa mga benepisyaryo ng Fuel Subsidy Program (FSP). Sa nasabing datos, P483,748,500 na ang katumbas na halaga na natanggap ng mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo,” the LTFRB said in its Facebook page.

(In total, the amount disbursed or distributed by the LTFRB to LBP for distribution to beneficiaries of the Fuel Subsidy Program (FSP) is P795,187,500. From this data, qualified beneficiaries have already received the equivalent amount of P483,748,500.)

Included in the list of beneficiaries are operators of traditional and modern jeepneys, buses, mini-buses, tourist transport services, school transport services, Filcabs, and other public utility vehicles.
