MANILA, Philippines — The website of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) is most likely to be restored this Thursday, its president and CEO Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. said.
“I think it’s very most likely that within the day, all of the operations will be back to normal,” Ledesma said on Thursday during the House Committee on Finance hearing on the proposed 2024 budget of the Department of Health amounting to P311.3 billion.
Philhealth senior vice president Renato Limsiaco also echoed this, saying they are now implementing prevention measures before turning the website on.
“To confirm the statement of our president, we are set to restore our systems today, but we are still completing the preventive measures before we turn it on,” Limsiaco said.
“We are targeting to turn on our Philhealth website, member portal, as well as the e-claims, and this will address the issues of our members and our partner providers,” he added.
To date, Philhealth is offline, and all transactions with the agency can only be done over the counter, according to Limsiaco.
Computer hackers attacked the website and online application of Philhealth last Friday, September 22.
The state insurer stressed that the incident was under control and that no personal information or medical information had been compromised or leaked.
