MANILA, Philippines — Portions of Makati City, Manila, and Pasay City will be experiencing water supply interruptions, the Maynilad Water Services Inc. said on Thursday.

According to Maynilad, the interruption is due to a maintenance activity involving the replacement of a 1050 mm gate valve at Espiritu Pumping Station and the insertion of a 600 mm valve to allow for the removal of a 750-mm-diameter pipe along Estrada Street from Espiritu to Lemery in Malate, Manila.
Affected areas include the following:
Makati City

Manila
- Barangays 719, and 726 to 733 in Malate
- Barangays 745 to 762, 769, 803, and 807 in Sta. Ana

Maynilad advised its customers to store enough water for the duration of the service interruption.

Maynilad said that the maintenance activity is in line with their efforts to improve water services in the area, mainly to help reduce water losses.
