Alabang fire slows down traffic on SLEX

MANILA, Philippines—Fire broke out at a commercial building on the West Service Road in Alabang, Muntinlupa, Friday afternoon, causing heavy traffic on both the northbound and southbound lanes of the South Luzon Expressway.

As of 2 p.m. the line of vehicles had reached the Susana heights exit on the northbound lane of SLEX while southbound vehicles ground to a halt near the Bicutan exit.

While fire trucks did not block any part of the SLEX, motorists were slowing down to look at the fire, affecting the flow of traffic.
