President Marcos has suspended work in government offices under the executive branch on Sept. 25 in observance of the National Family Week. Under Memorandum Circular No. 32 signed on Thursday, the President suspended government work on Monday from 3 p.m. onwards. The new circular was pursuant to Proclamation No. 60 signed in 1992, which declared the last week of September of every year as Family Week. “This office also encourages all government workers in the executive branch to fully support the programs and activities relative to the observance of Family Week, as organized by the National Committee on the Filipino Family,” the circular read. It said the suspension of work in independent commissions or bodies and in the private sector is also encouraged.
