MANILA, Philippines (Updated) — The proposed dry run for a new traffic scheme that will be implemented along ADB Avenue in Ortigas Center will start on Friday at 11 p.m., the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Thursday.

“Please expect noticeable changes in traffic flow due to some lane reconfiguration, but rest assured that this is done to improve the safety and convenience of all,” said DOTr in a Facebook post.

It will run for a month and last the entire day, said the agency.

According to DOTr, the dry run is in preparation for the active transport improvement project in the area called the Active Transport Program.

It is being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region, in collaboration with Ortigas Center Association, Incorporated.

The undertaking is meant to enhance the transport infrastructure along Edsa.

Ortigas Center is a business district situated within the boundaries of Pasig, Mandaluyong, and Quezon Cities.
