3 alleged drug pushers busted in Laguna

Police authorities have arrested one of Laguna's most wanted persons in the province following a manhunt operation over the weekend

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested on Wednesday and Thursday three drug pushers and seized more than P142,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Biñan and Cabuyao cities in Laguna province.

The Region 4A police said in a report that the Biñan City anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed Antonio Gunda during a buy-bust operation at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday in Barangay Canlalay.

Authorities seized eight sachets of meth with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P78,660.

In Cabuyao City, anti-narcotics agents held at 11:32 p.m. on Wednesday Kevin Villamor and Arjon Samson in a drug sting in Barangay Banay-Banay.

The police found them in possession of six sachets of shabu worth P64,000 as per DDB valuation.

Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations if they have records of drug transactions.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Police in Biñan and Cabuyao were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

All arrested suspects were tagged as street-level drug pushers on the police watch list in their respective localities.

They were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
