MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and rain due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) are expected in the Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical and Services Administration (Pagasa).
Luzon, except for the southern part of Palawan, will have generally fair weather.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate and heavy rains are expected, especially in the afternoon and evening in the western and southern parts of Mindanao, including the Zamboanga Peninsula, Barmm, Socckskargen,.
“Sa eastern portions, Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Davao region generally bahagyang maulap na kalangitan na sasamahan ng pagulan sa gabi dulot ng ITCZ,” said Pagasa weather specialist Bennison Estareja added in Pagasa’s latest weather report.
(In the eastern portions, Caraga region, Northern Mindanao, Davao region generally partly cloudy skies will be accompanied by rain at night due to the ITCZ.)
Meanwhile, the ITCZ will also bring rain and overcast skies to the entire Visayas and the southern portion of Palawan
While no weather disturbance is being monitored by Pagasa, Estareja said an LPA may form within the ITCZ within the week.
Meanwhile, no gale warning is in effect over any of the country’s seaboards.
