Manila imposes ban against liquor, vendors and noise for Bar exams 2023
MANILA, Philippines — Manila has imposed a liquor ban for the 2023 Bar examinations on September 17, 20, and 24, 2023.
In an executive order released on Friday, Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuña said a liquor ban within a 500-meter radius of University of Santo Tomas and San Beda University will be put in place.
These two universities are testing sites for the Bar exams.
Here are the following dates and hours of prohibition:
12:00 am, September 16 (Saturday) to 10:00 pm, September 17 (Sunday)

Ambulant vendors are also prohibited from the testing areas within the following times and dates:
12:00 am, September 16 (Saturday) to 12:00 am, September 18 (Monday)
12:00 am, September 19 (Tuesday) up to 12:00 am, September 21 (Thursday)
12:00 am, September 23 (Saturday) up to 12:00 am, September 25 (Monday)
Lacuña likewise declared sources of loud noise such as video machines and speakers are banned within the 500-meter radius.
She also said mass gatherings, parades, parties, and other assemblies are not allowed in the same areas and dates.
Supreme Court said 10,916 examinees will take the Bar exams this year, across 14 testing sites nationwide.
