Muntinlupa to impose liquor ban in Bar exam site within city

In preparation for the upcoming 2023 Bar Examination,  the Muntinlupa City Government said on Thursday that they will be enforcing a liquor ban around San Beda College - Alabang (SBCA).

MANILA, Philippines — In preparation for the upcoming 2023 Bar Examination,  the local government of Muntinlupa City said on Thursday that it will be enforcing a liquor ban around the San Beda College – Alabang (SBCA), one of the testing sites in Metro Manila.

The bar exam is scheduled for September 17, 20, and 24.

According to the city’s public information office, the ban will take effect before and during the nights of these schedules.

Under Muntinlupa City’s Executive Order No. 45, its local government said that business establishments within a 500-meter radius of SBCA will be prohibited from selling liquor to the public.

“We enjoin everyone, especially the supporters of our 2023 Bar examinees, to cooperate and work with us and one another to ensure safe and orderly Bar Examinations. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of the examinees and their families and friends,” Mayor Ruffy Biazon stated.

SBCA is one of the venues for the 2023 Bar Examination. It was also chosen to be the national headquarters for the said exam.
