Outreach programs held to mark President’s 66th birth anniversary

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday marked his 66th birth anniversary in Singapore, but back at home, various government agencies and local government units celebrated his special day through outreach and environmental programs.

Marcos Jr. is in Singapore for the 10th Asian Summit. Upon the invitation of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, He will also attend the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix 2023.

“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. marked his 66th birthday celebration on Wednesday with various activities such as tree planting, feeding, and medical and dental mission organized by the ‘LAB For All – Lingap at Alagang Bayanihan’ in several areas in the country. It is spearheaded by First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos,” said the Presidential Communications Office in a statement.

The activity saw 25,000 seedlings planted in 45 different locations. There were also medical and dental missions in 69 locations across the country, with more than 62,000 beneficiaries.

Both the First Lady and presidential son Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos also greeted the President on his birth anniversary on their social media pages.

“Happy happy birthday pop! I know and have seen how having the weight of the country on your shoulders has proven to be extremely stressful, but I will always be of the belief that I can’t think of anyone better than you to handle the problems we face. Please know we will always be here for you and continue to support the reforms and plans you have for our country. It will always be a privilege to be able to call you my dad. Love you pop! Have a great one,” the Presidential son wrote on Instagram.
