Romualdez wishes Bongbong Marcos happy 66th birthday

MANILA, Philippines – Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez conveyed his warm birthday wishes to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. as he turned 66 on Wednesday.

“Happy Birthday, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.!” Romualdez said.

While celebrating the occasion, Romualdez also highlighted Marcos’ contributions to the nation.

“Your leadership reflects a strong commitment to improving the lives of Filipinos, a dedication we deeply admire,” he said, acknowledging the President’s efforts for national progress.

“I have the privilege of witnessing your unwavering commitment to progress,” he added.

Romualdez, representing the Leyte 1st District, has consistently collaborated with President Marcos on numerous work-related endeavors, domestically and internationally, since the inauguration of the 19th Congress on June 30, 2022.

Many view Romualdez as one of the President’s closest and most trusted allies.

The Speaker commended the President for his resilience, particularly in leading the nation’s recovery from the economic aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic through the implementation of an 8-point socio-economic agenda.

Yet, during national duties, Romualdez reminded the President to enjoy his birthday.

“On this special day, remember the positive impact you have on our country. Your determination to uplift the lives of every Filipino is truly inspiring,” said Romualdez, the head of the 311-member House of Representatives.

Marcos was born on September 13, 1957.
