LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested an alleged big-time drug trafficker early Tuesday, Sept. 12, and seized shabu (crystal meth) worth more than P273,000 in Antipolo City in Rizal province.

The Region 4A police reported that members of the Antipolo drug enforcement unit arrested Benedicto Samson around 1:05 a.m. after selling shabu worth P500 to an undercover cop acting as a drug user in Barangay Mambugan.

Authorities seized from the suspect five sachets of shabu weighing 40.2 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of about P273,360.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspect in his illegal drug trade.

Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The report tagged Samson as a high-value target on the drug watch list.

The suspect is under police custody and faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
