Pagasa: Good weather with isolated rains expected in PH within 24 hours
MANILA, Philippines —A good and clear weather is expected over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, while isolated rains may still occur due to thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Friday.
According to its weather specialist, Aldczar Aurelio, a weak southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” still affects western sections of northern and central Luzon.
“Mahinang habagat ay nakaaapekto pa rin sa may kanlurang bahagi ng northern Luzon at sa central Luzon,” he said.
Cloudy skies are seen around Taiwan and in the Pacific Ocean outside the Philippine area of responsibility, which may develop into low-pressure areas.
“Kasalukuyan, may mga kumpulan ng kaulapan sa bandang Taiwan, at ganoon din po sa may bandang Dagat-Pasipiko sa labas ng ating Philippine area of responsibility. Itong mga kumpulan ng kaulapan ay may posibilidad [na] mabuong low pressure area,” he added.
