THE 93-1 issue and “big developments.”
This was Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia’s reply to queries about what she discussed with Vice President Jejomar Binay during his visit to Manila on Tuesday.
Garcia, however, didn’t confirm queries about her running as senator under United Nationalist’s Alliance (UNA), which is a coalition of Binay’s Partidong Demokratikong Pilipino-Laban party and former president Joseph Estrada’s Partido ng Masang Pilipino party.
“UNA with the coming together of former president Erap Estrada, senate president Juan Ponce Enrile, which we can consider right now as the most powerful political force that have come together. To be considered as a possible candidate in the coming senatorial slate should be an honor not just for me but for Cebu,” she said.
Garcia, however, said that she wasn’t discounting the possibility of also running for a local position.
“You cannot discount that. These are all choices. These are all options,” she said. /Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
