The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has lifted its work stoppage order on the Quezon City Hall elevator project where one worker died and three others were injured on Aug. 17 when a wall collapsed on them.
The Dole-National Capital Region office allowed the project to continue after the contractor, MRBII Construction Corp., “addressed their violations” and implemented “appropriate occupational safety measures.”
The accident occurred at the Quezon City Hall’s Civic Building A and Civic Building B last Aug. 17 around 10 p.m., killing construction worker Rachel Erezo and injuring Erwin Ramos, Joshua Garcia and Christian Manposte.
