PNP Forensic Group (FG) director Brig. Gen. Constancio Chinayog Jr. said 24 of the 115,983 police personnel who underwent the initial screening nationwide tested positive for using illegal drugs.
“Yung drug testing natin sa ating personnel is a continuing activity by the FG, sa katunayan for this year we already tested 115,983. Of this, meron tayong positive na 24, so percentage-wise, it is just .02 percent,” Chinayog said in a press briefing on Monday.

The urine samples of these 24 officers were likewise subjected to a confirmatory test last August 26 and yielded positive results for either crystal meth or marijuana use.
