Vico Sotto: K-12 public school students to receive transportation allowance
MANILA, Philippines — Mayor Vico Sotto said a transportation allowance worth P1,500 will be given to each K-12 public school student in Pasig City.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Sotto said that the distribution of the transportation allowance will run from September 6 to 15.
Sotto also announced that the delivery of free school supplies was on track, though he did not give an exact date due to unanticipated problems.
“Ako po ay humihingi ng inyong pasensya. First time lang din natin ito; maasahan niyo na sa susunod na school year ay mas aagahan namin ang timeline… Alam kong maraming gastusin pag magpapasukan, kaya sana makabawi ako sa inyo kahit papaano sa pamamagitan ng nasabing cash allowance,” Sotto said.
(I ask for your patience as this is our first time. You can expect that in the next school year, we will adjust the time line to be earlier… I know that there are many expenses during the opening of classes, I hope that this cash allowance may make up for it somehow.)
