MANILA, Philippines — One person was reported dead from the combined effects of super typhoon Goring and typhoon Hanna, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.
The fatality is from Western Visayas.
NDRRMC says details are still being validated.
The council has yet to release data on injured and missing persons.
The total number of individuals displaced by the calamities brought by Hanna and Goring reached 106,677.
Agriculture damage is estimated at more than P345 million.
Destruction to infrastructure is said to be over P41,000.
Hanna and Goring are currently enhancing the southwest monsoon, bringing heavy rainfall in most parts of Luzon.
