Palace suspends classes at all levels, government work on August 31

Malacañang announced that government work and classes in all levels are suspended due to the combined effects of Super Typhoons Goring, Hanna, and the southwest monsoon. 

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang announced that government work and classes at all levels are suspended due to the combined effects of Super Typhoons Goring, Hanna, and the southwest monsoon.

“Work in government offices and classes in all levels in the National Capital Region and hereby suspended on 31, August 2023, effective 3:00 PM,” said the Palace in a Memorandum Circular.

The suspension comes at the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
