MANILA, Philippines — Super Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola) is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) as of 8 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Wednesday 11 p.m. bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa then lifted all tropical cyclone wind signals.
Goring was last located 265 km west of Itbayat, Batanes, carrying maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center with a gustiness of up to 240 kph.
Goring will begin to gradually weaken on Thursday until its downgrade to a severe tropical storm on Saturday and into a tropical storm on Sunday, according to Pagasa.
