MANILA, Philippines – Supreme Court Associate Justice Ricardo Rosario has terminated dismissed cop Wilfredo Gonzales after learning about the road rage.

Gonzales was previously connected with the office of Rosario as a co-terminus employee.

The Justice is retiring in October 2028.

The retired cop was discharged after he figured in a viral video for hitting the head of a cyclist and threatening him with a gun.

Gonzales earlier appeared before the media and said he and the cyclist had settled their dispute at Quezon City Police District Station 11.

However, a public post by lawyer Raymond Fortun said the cyclist was forced to sign the settlement for fear of his safety and that of his family.

“Justice Rosario does not condone any form of violence or abusive behavior,” read the statement signed by Wilhelmina Aileen Mayuga, the Judicial Staff Head of Rosario.

PNP recently confirmed Gonzales was dismissed from law enforcement in 2018.|
