PCO chief pays tribute to late veteran broadcaster Mike Enriquez

MANILA, Philippines — Presidential Communications Office (PCO) chief Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil on Tuesday paid tribute to the late broadcaster Mike Enriquez and cited his outstanding  contribution to journalism. 

Enriqiuz died Tuesday afternoon.  He was 71.

“Si Mike ay isa sa mga mamamahayag na ating itinuturing na kasangga sa paghahatid ng tapat at walang kinikilingang balita. Tunay na ang kanyang kontribusyon sa larangan ng pagbabalita ay hindi matatawaran,” Garafil said in a statement on the PCO Facebook page.

Garafil likewise extended her condolences to Enrqieuz’s family.

“Tayo ay nakikiramay sa pamilya at mga kaanak na naiwan ng ating kaibigan sa media na si Mike Enriquez,” she said.
