Phivolcs: Sarangani, South Cotabato rocked by 5.5 magnitude earthquake
MANILA, Philippines — The provinces of Sarangani and South Cotabato were hit by a magnitude 5.5 earthquake early Tuesday morning, the state seismology agency reported.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the tectonic earthquake was located southeast of the Balut Islands in Sarangani.

Intensity I was felt in the towns of Tupi in South Cotabato, and Malungon and Kiamba in Sarangani.
Phivolcs said in its advisory that damage was not expected but aftershocks may still occur.
