The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has ordered a private motorist to explain his side in a “road rage incident” recorded on a video that recently went viral on social media.

Possible LTO sanctions on the driver is limited to his license to drive, but LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said he was coordinating with the Philippine National Police on possible criminal charges, plus additional sanctions relating to his gun.

The incident supposedly happened on Aug. 8 near the Welcome Rotunda at the boundary of Manila and Quezon City.

Based on the clip, the male driver of a red sedan was shown coming out of his vehicle to confront the bicycle rider and then hit him on the head before pulling out and cocking a handgun in the cyclist’s face.
