DepEd: Over 20 million students enrolled for SY 2023-2024

MANILA, Philippines — With only two days left before the deadline of enrollment, more than 20 million students have registered so far for the school year (SY) 2023-2024, said the Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday.

“Batay sa huling datos mula sa Learner Information System Quick Count para sa SY 2023-2024 ngayong Agosto 24, 2023, 2:30 PM, nasa 20,093,611 na ang kabuuang bilang ng mga nagparehistro na mga mag-aaral para sa darating na taong panuruan,” said the DepEd in a Facebook post.

(Based from the latest data from the Learner Information System Quick Count for SY 2023-2024 this August 24, 2023, 2:30 PM, the number of those who registered in schools for the coming school year has reached 20,093,611.)

The DepEd recorded the following regions with the highest number of enrolled students:

“Dagdag pa rito, ang ating mga Alternative Learning System learners ay maaari na ring magpatala sa inyong barangay, community learning center, o sa pinakamalapit na pampublikong paaralan,” DepEd said.

(In addition to this, our Alternative Learning System learners may also enlist through their nearest barangays, community learning centers, or nearby public schools.)
