DFA: Consular operations suspended on Aug. 25 in NCR, Bulacan; nationwide on Aug. 28

   

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced the suspension of its consular operations in Metro Manila and the province of Bulacan on Friday, August 25 and nationwide on Monday, August 28.

The DFA, in a statement, said operations will be suspended in DFA Aseana, DFA Consular Offices (COs), and Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) in Metro Manila and Bulacan on August 25.

“[This is in] pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 27 issued by the Office of the President, dated 15 August 2023, due to the conduct of the opening ceremonies of the Fiba World Cup 2023,” the DFA said.

Meanwhile, operations in DFA Aseana, all COs and TOPS, throughout the country will also be suspended on August 28 in observance of National Heroes Day. 

Likewise, DFA said that the Passport Releasing Service Center in Double Dragon Meridian Park, Pasay City will also be closed on August 25 and will resume operations on August 29.

Those with affected appointments in Metro Manila and Bulacan on August 25 will instead be accommodated from August 29 to September 25 at their respective Supervising Consular Offices, said the DFA.
