“Majority of the repatriated Filipinos were undocumented workers staying at the Embassy (the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait) shelter,” the DFA said.

It added that the OFWs’ one-way tickets were shouldered by the DFA-Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs’ Assistance To Nationals fund.

The repatriation of these Filipino workers was led by Philippine Ambassador Jose Cabrera III in coordination with the Migrant Workers Office in Kuwait.
